Entrepreneurs International Challenge (EPIC) is a five-day international entrepreneurship competition hosted annually by the LSE Entrepreneurs (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=33405154307), bringing together bright, ambitious students from 50+ universities across the world to develop and enhance their entrepreneurial skills. Inspired by the Apprentice, the two stage competition tests students on their Sales, Negotiation, Marketing, and Strategy skills in an entrepreneurial context.

The event has been running for 4 years, attracting well-known entrepreneurial leaders such as Karan Bilimoria, CEO of Cobra Beer and Charles Dunstone, CEO of Carphone Warehouse, to speak and share their professional experiences with students from across the world. This year Sir Alan Sugar has been invited to launch the competition. Other speakers invited this year include James Caan, Levi Roots, Caprice Bourret and Brad Rosser amongst others.

Last year, the 2008 finals included teams from Thailand and Hungary, with the £3,000 cash prize ultimately being won by the University of Cambridge. The competition has two stages, a preliminary challenge round (deadline - 14th January) through which we shortlist the 10 finalists. The second stage is the finals week, involving a series of informative talks of well-known entrepreneurial leaders, workshops and challenges. The Finals will take place in London from 23rd February to 27th February 2009.

Please email us at epicuk@gmail.com to receive the preliminary challenge pack and case study or download them from our website at www.epicuk.org.
